Planet Water Foundation Joins Forces With Torque GC To Enhance Access To Clean Water

In a significant move towards addressing the global challenge of access to safe drinking water, Planet Water Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization, has announced a strategic partnership with LIV Golf League team, Torque GC. This collaboration aims to support impoverished communities by providing them with access to clean, safe drinking water through the deployment of AquaTower water filtration systems in Latin America.

The initiative was kick-started by Torque GC members, including Joaquin Niemann, Sebastian Munoz, Mito Pereira, and Carlos Ortiz, who are actively raising funds to facilitate the installation of these life-saving systems. The AquaTower, known for its efficient three-stage water filtration technology, is capable of producing 1,000 liters of drinking water per hour. This capacity is sufficient to meet the daily drinking water needs of up to 1,800 people, making a significant impact in communities where access to clean water is a critical issue.

New Partnership Boosts Clean Water Access

The first AquaTower sponsored by Torque GC was showcased at the LIV Golf Miami event from April 5-7 at Trump National Doral Golf Club. Attendees were encouraged to contribute to this noble cause, with the promise that the AquaTower would subsequently be transported to Mexico for deployment in a rural community identified by Planet Water Foundation as in dire need of safe drinking water.

"For all of us, it’s really important to use our platform to give back. We decided to work with Planet Water Foundation and help communities around the world get clean water, which is something we all care very deeply about and look forward to making an impact on many lives," stated Joaquin Niemann, Torque GC team captain.

Mark Steele, Founder & CEO of Planet Water Foundation expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: "We are excited to be here in Miami to launch this partnership with Torque GC. We are grateful for the support of the Torque GC players and are excited that after the event, our Planet Water team will be relocating this AquaTower to a rural community in Mexico, where it will help transform the lives of a local community by providing them with a reliable source of safe drinking water."

Planet Water Foundation has been at the forefront of providing access to safe drinking water since 2009. With projects deployed in over 28 countries benefiting more than four million people globally, their efforts focus on supporting schools, children, and local communities in Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions. Additionally, they play a crucial role in providing safe drinking water in the aftermath of natural disasters worldwide.

Torque GC represents South American talent within the LIV Golf League. Led by Captain Joaquin Niemann, who has achieved notable success including being the 2024 Mayakoba and Jeddah Individual Champion, the team also includes Carlos Ortiz as well as mainstays Sebastian Munoz and Mito Pereira. Their commitment towards growing the game across Mexico, Chile, and Colombia now extends into making a tangible difference in communities through their partnership with Planet Water Foundation.

This collaboration between Planet Water Foundation and Torque GC underscores the power of partnerships in addressing critical global challenges. By leveraging their platforms and resources, they are set to make a significant impact on improving access to safe drinking water for communities in need.
