Phillies And Asplundh Forge New Partnership For Fans, Trees, And ALS Community

The Philadelphia Phillies have recently unveiled a significant partnership with Asplundh Tree Expert, a prominent provider of vegetation management and infrastructure services. This collaboration marks Asplundh as one of the "Official Community and Sustainability Partners of the Phillies." Based in Willow Grove, Pa., the family-owned company is set to play a pivotal role in community engagement and promoting environmental sustainability through its services. This multi-year alliance is not just a business venture but a commitment to positively impact the community and environment.

Jackie Cuddeback, the Phillies Senior Vice President of Partnership Sales, Suites Sales, and Corporate Marketing, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "For more than 95 years, Asplundh has served the utility industry, helping communities build, recover and thrive in a changing world," she stated. The collaboration is seen as a welcome addition to the Phillies family, bringing together two entities dedicated to serving important causes within the Philadelphia community.

Phillies, Asplundh Team Up for Good

Asplundh's CEO, Matt Asplundh, also shared his excitement about joining forces with the Phillies. He highlighted the company's commitment to sustainability and medical advancement in treating ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) as key initiatives. The partnership aims to strengthen Asplundh's long-standing ties with the Philadelphia community, which have been nurtured over the last 95 years.

A notable aspect of this partnership is Asplundh's sponsorship of the Phillies Home Runs for Trees program. Initiated in 2012, this program plants a tree in the Greater Philadelphia area for every home run hit by a Phillies player. To date, more than 2,000 trees have been planted through this initiative, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Furthermore, Asplundh will take on a significant role in supporting Phillies ALS Awareness Day as the new presenting sponsor. This event is scheduled for Sunday, June 2, when the Phillies will compete against the St. Louis Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park. The day is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for ALS research and supporting families affected by ALS in the Delaware Valley.

The partnership ensures that Asplundh will have a visible presence at Phillies home games. Fans can expect to see Asplundh's signage at various locations within Citizens Bank Park, including behind home plate and in left field. This visibility underscores Asplundh's commitment to community and environmental sustainability initiatives alongside the Philadelphia Phillies.

This collaboration between the Philadelphia Phillies and Asplundh Tree Expert represents a significant step forward in promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement. Both organizations are poised to make a lasting impact in these areas through their joint efforts.
