Pace Analytical Services Announces Michael Berg, Ph.D., As New Building Sciences Technical Director
Pace® Analytical Services, a leading provider of regulatory testing and analytical laboratory services, has recently announced the appointment of Michael Berg, Ph.D., as the new Technical Director within its Building Sciences business unit. With an impressive background spanning over 18 years in the environmental testing industry, Dr. Berg's expertise primarily lies in microbiology, including critical areas such as Legionella, mold, and US Pharmacopeia (USP) testing.
In his new role as Technical Director, Dr. Berg is set to spearhead efforts in streamlining and optimizing operational processes within Pace®. His responsibilities will also include fostering strong client relationships and applying his extensive technical knowledge to ensure that Pace® remains at the forefront of innovation in laboratory services. The Building Sciences unit at Pace® plays a crucial role in testing air, water, surfaces, and materials for contaminants and hazardous substances within various structures to ensure safe and healthy environments.

Robert DeMalo, Vice President of Operations for Building Sciences at Pace®, expressed confidence in Dr. Berg's capabilities. Before joining Pace®, Dr. Berg held notable positions such as Operational Manager and Technical Director at Eurofins Built Environmental Testing. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biology from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. His postdoctoral fellowship at Oklahoma State University focused on plant pathology and genetics, further enriching his research portfolio which also includes fungicide research for BASF in Germany.
