Opel Launches New Electric Light Commercial Vehicles With Enhanced Features

The automotive industry is witnessing a significant shift with the introduction of the new generation of Opel's light commercial vehicle (LCV) range, which includes the compact Opel Combo, the medium-sized Opel Vivaro, and the large Opel Movano. These models are now available for order, showcasing a blend of flexibility, strength, and modernity. Notably, these vehicles have been redesigned both externally and internally, featuring the Opel Vizor brand fascia and refreshed cockpits equipped with up to 10-inch colour touchscreens.

One of the most compelling updates in this new generation is the inclusion of electric drivetrains across the range. The new Movano Electric stands out with a class-leading driving range of up to 420 kilometres on a single charge, according to WLTP1 standards. This advancement is attributed to cutting-edge battery technologies and increased drive efficiency. Furthermore, the new Combo Electric and Vivaro Electric maintain the operational capability of their combustion engine counterparts, ensuring a seamless transition to electric for businesses.

Opel's New Electric LCV Lineup

In addition to electric options, Opel introduces hydrogen fuel cell technology with the new Movano HYDROGEN and Vivaro HYDROGEN. This innovative approach offers an alternative for those seeking zero-emission vehicles without compromising on performance or range.

The interior upgrades are not limited to infotainment improvements. The vehicles boast up to 21 advanced driver assistance systems, enhancing safety and convenience for long trips and city manoeuvres alike. The new Combo is particularly noteworthy for bringing the adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux LED Matrix Light to its segment for the first time. Meanwhile, the new Movano enables level 2 automated driving, marking a first in the model's history.

The versatility of the Opel LCV range is further emphasized through an extensive variety of variants available in different lengths and heights, catering to nearly all commercial needs. These vehicles are designed to tackle demanding tasks with exemplary loading volumes and towing capacities.

This latest offering from Opel signifies a step forward in the evolution of light commercial vehicles, combining innovative technologies with practical design to meet modern business requirements. With these updates, Opel continues to solidify its position in the automotive industry, providing efficient and sustainable solutions for commercial transportation.
