Oman's Silal Central Market To Streamline Operations With Yardi Technology

In a significant move to streamline its operations, Khazaen Fruit and Vegetable Central Market "Silal", an Oman-based integrated warehousing, distribution, and logistics centre, has announced its collaboration with Yardi Voyager®, a leading end-to-end platform known for its innovative technology solutions. This partnership marks the first instance of Yardi technology being utilized in Oman, setting a new standard for operational efficiency in the region's food supply chain sector.

Silal's comprehensive facilities, designed to meet the burgeoning demands of Oman's food supply chain, include cold storage, warehousing, market and retail units, alongside additional commercial spaces and offices. The centre also boasts custom clearing and food testing facilities, positioning itself as a centralised hub for various stakeholders. With the integration of Yardi's unified cloud platform, Silal aims to enhance property operations management, including leasing, lease administration, and facility management processes.

The adoption of Yardi Voyager® will introduce a tenant self-service portal and app, offering stakeholders the convenience to manage payments, maintenance requests, and access sales data online. This technological advancement is expected to automate key property management operations, thereby increasing productivity and elevating customer experience.

Located in Khazaen Economic City, Silal serves as Oman's central hub for the trade and wholesale of fresh fruits and vegetables. The project spans approximately 500 thousand square meters with provisions for future expansions. Construction began in May 2022, with completion rates now exceeding 96%. Silal is scheduled to commence operations in Q2 of 2024.
