NTT Unveils Innovation Alliance To Drive Hong Kong's Tech Ecosystem Forward
NTT Com Asia Limited has recently unveiled the NTT Innovation Alliance Program in Hong Kong, marking a significant stride towards fostering digital growth and innovation within the region. This initiative seeks to establish a collaborative ecosystem by integrating NTT's advanced mobile-first technology solutions, operational support, and a unified vision for digital advancement. The program is set to include partnerships with key organizations and academic institutions such as Hong Kong Cyberport, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre, City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Taichi Hiramatsu, CEO of NTT Com Asia Limited, emphasized the program's commitment to co-creating market-ready solutions that will not only benefit Hong Kong society but also have the potential to impact other markets positively. NTT is enhancing its digital infrastructure in Hong Kong through significant investments in data centers and cutting-edge technologies like private 5G, AI, IoT, and edge computing. Participants will gain access to NTT's extensive digital capabilities and technical expertise from both Hong Kong and Japan, alongside insights from partnering organizations and universities.

The program features the docomo 5G DX Square in Hong Kong, a private 5G-ready environment designed for the testing, development, and demonstration of innovative technologies such as AI, IoT, and edge computing. Its goal is to turn potential ideas into practical solutions with robust go-to-market support. These co-created solutions may not only be commercialized in Hong Kong but could also be showcased at events in Japan or introduced to other markets.
To facilitate collaboration and co-development, the program will organize exploration workshops, training sessions, and community programs throughout the year. The aim is to identify and co-create value-driven solutions that align with market needs. By the end of the year, the most innovative ideas and ready-to-market solutions will be highlighted.
The official launch of the program took place during the "CO-CREATE InnoFuture" Afternoon Tech Mixer, which saw over 100 representatives from enterprises, partners, startups, and industry leaders in attendance. Details regarding the schedule of upcoming activities are set to be announced in April. Those interested in participating or seeking more information can visit the NTT website to register their interest.
This initiative by NTT Com Asia Limited represents a significant effort towards leveraging technology for societal benefit while promoting digital innovation and collaboration within Hong Kong's vibrant ecosystem.
