Noteefy Raises Seed Funding To Revolutionize Golf Course Bookings With AI

In a significant move to enhance the golfing experience and operational efficiency, Noteefy, the premier automated waitlist solution for golf courses, has successfully completed a seed capital round. This financial milestone aims to accelerate the growth of Noteefy's innovative technology platform by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) across additional hospitality sectors that share similar demand dynamics with golf. Currently, over 350 golf course and resort operators utilize Noteefy's services to recover substantial revenue lost to last-minute tee time cancellations, while also allowing staff to focus on improving the golfer's experience.

The investment round was spearheaded by Phoenix Capital Ventures and saw contributions from notable entities such as Perot Jain, TRT Holdings (the owner of Omni Hotels & Resorts), the Keiser family (owners of Bandon Dunes Resort and Sand Valley Resort), and the Bitove Family (Founders of the Toronto Raptors). Additionally, other capital participants included high-profile institutions and individuals with deep roots in golf, sports, hospitality, and leisure.

Noteefy Elevates Golf Bookings with AI

Andrew Steinberg, managing partner of Phoenix Capital Ventures, highlighted the timely nature of this investment. "Golf’s recent resurgence has led to increased participation at all levels of the game, putting a strain on operators who are trying to ensure the availability of tee times to consumers looking for them," Steinberg explained. He further emphasized Noteefy's role in seamlessly solving this issue with a platform that is easy for any golf course to implement.

Destination golf properties such as Cabot Citrus Farms, Whistling Straits, Sand Valley, Streamsong, and TPC Scottsdale are among those redefining golfer engagement and re-booking unsold tee times through Noteefy. Chambers Bay, the host of the 2015 U.S. Open, is a prime example, having realized more than $250,000 in annual incremental revenue from Noteefy within just six months of using the product.

Noteefy's co-founder and CEO, Jake Gordon, expressed a clear mission: "There should never be a canceled tee time that goes unfilled as a result of people not knowing about a time opening." He added that this investment round and customer support would enable tackling unfilled cancellations in new and exciting use cases across hospitality more broadly.

Founded in 2022 by Jake Gordon and Dathan Wong (Co-Founder, CTO), both former employees at major technology firms like Accenture and Microsoft, Noteefy was inspired by their personal frustrations with the manual process of finding available tee times at public courses. Their research revealed that many courses see up to 20% of their tee times canceled within 24 hours, resulting in significant revenue loss. Wong stated, "Technology helps solve the supply-demand mismatch problem in golf and beyond," indicating ambitious plans for product capability expansion.

Noteefy stands as a pioneering force in bringing advanced technology solutions to golf course and resort operators. The platform not only enhances golfer booking experiences but also contributes significantly to course staff efficiency and financial performance. With many courses reporting six-figure revenue gains from otherwise lost tee times due to cancellations, Noteefy's impact is both clear and growing.
