AMA Chicago Seeks Nominations For Prestigious 2024 Marketer Of The Year Award

The American Marketing Association Chicago (AMA Chicago), the largest chapter in AMA’s North American network, has announced the open nomination period for its annual "Marketer of the Year" award. Launched in 2022, this award aims to recognize the diverse talent within Chicago's marketing industry and highlight marketing as a key driver of business growth and success.

Marketers residing in the Chicagoland area are eligible to nominate themselves, colleagues, clients, or peers who currently work in a marketing department and have made notable contributions to the field. Membership in the Association is not a requirement for nominees. "The Marketer of the Year Award celebrates marketing as a profession and honours Chicago’s marketing leaders who have gone above and beyond," said Chris McGuire, president of AMA Chicago.

Seeking 2024's Top Chicago Marketer

The 2024 Marketer of the Year honoree will be recognized for their strategy, results, vision, and leadership in marketing. Examples include marketers who have evolved a brand and changed consumer perceptions, those who made headlines and built engagement and awareness, leaders of successful brand or product pivots, and those whose campaigns yielded significant results.

Nominees must have been based in the Chicagoland area for at least 12 months, although their employer can be headquartered anywhere. Professionals focused on branding, marketing, and communications aspects of their company’s brand are eligible. Chris Duncan, Vice President of Consumer Insight and Digital Marketing at Claire’s, received the award in 2023 for his contributions to Claire’s brand leadership.

AMA Chicago encourages nominations from colleagues, direct reports, managers, and agency employees. Self-nominations are also welcome. For guidance on submissions, AMA Chicago recommends reading "Marketing Awards: Build a Culture of Recognition by Rewarding High-Achieving Team Members" on their website. Submission Details
