Nissan Secures 15th ENERGY STAR Partner Of The Year Award In A Row
Nissan North America has once again been distinguished by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its outstanding commitment to energy efficiency. For the 15th year in a row, Nissan has earned the prestigious ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award. This accolade is a testament to the company's enduring dedication to energy management and conservation efforts. Furthermore, Nissan has also secured the ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for the 13th consecutive year, a recognition given to entities that not only achieve Partner of the Year status for at least two consecutive years but also continue to surpass their energy efficiency accomplishments annually.
Underpinning these achievements is Nissan's significant reduction in energy consumption. The company, along with its employees and suppliers, has successfully reduced energy usage per vehicle produced by 14%, leading to a 3% decrease in overall energy consumption compared to the previous year. Chris Goddard, Nissan's environmental and energy engineering manager, expressed pride in these accomplishments, stating, "This award, the highest level of recognition by the EPA, underscores our unwavering commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship across the organization."

Nissan's approach to sustainability is holistic, focusing on critical areas such as climate change mitigation, air quality improvement, resource dependency reduction, and water preservation. The company's efforts are geared towards contributing to a sustainable life for all while pioneering innovations for an energy-efficient future.
The ENERGY STAR program annually honors a select group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to enhancing energy efficiency and facilitating the transition to a clean energy economy. Over the past 30 years, these efforts have culminated in savings of more than five trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity. EPA administrator Michael S. Regan commended this year's winners for their role in delivering cost-effective energy-efficient solutions that address climate change and promote a healthier environment.
Winners of the ENERGY STAR awards are chosen from a vast network of thousands of partners. For more details on the 2024 winners and additional information about ENERGY STAR's awards program, interested parties are encouraged to visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
