From 25 April, Volkswagen will also offer the Golf R-Line models, which boast sportier aesthetics and additional features like LED headlights and adaptive cruise control. The starting price for these models is £30,285 for the Hatchback and £31,650 for the Estate. Volkswagen plans to expand the Golf range later in the year with the introduction of eHybrid, GTI, and GTE variants.

The new Golf models are not just about looks; they come packed with a suite of style, technology, and performance enhancements. Highlights include redesigned LED headlights, an upgraded infotainment system with a 12.9-inch touchscreen display, and an improved multi-function steering wheel. For added convenience and safety, advanced assist systems such as Park Assist Plus and Park Assist Pro are available, along with a 360-degree Area View feature.

For those interested in sustainability without sacrificing performance, the new plug-in hybrid models offer an electric range of approximately 100 km and a total range nearing 1,000 km. Additionally, Volkswagen has introduced 48 V mild hybrid versions to cater to eco-friendly driving preferences.

Since its debut in 1974, the Golf has solidified its position as one of Europe's most successful cars, boasting over 37 million units sold globally. Rod McLeod, Volkswagen UK Director, expressed confidence in the latest model's ability to meet contemporary motorists' demands for style, dynamic driving experiences, cutting-edge technology, intuitive controls, and efficiency. As Volkswagen continues to transition towards e-mobility solutions, the enduring success of the Golf seems poised to carry on into this new era.
