MLB Tuesday On TBS: 2024 Season Starts With Ohtani, Harper In Exciting Doubleheader

The 2024 MLB season is set to captivate audiences with a thrilling lineup of games broadcasted on TBS, starting with an action-packed doubleheader on Tuesday, April 2. The evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET as the Philadelphia Phillies, featuring stars Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos, welcome the Cincinnati Reds with their 2023 breakout star Elly De La Cruz and Jonathan India. Don Orsillo will lead the play-by-play commentary, supported by Ron Darling's game analysis.

Following this, at 10 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Dodgers, with Shohei Ohtani making his highly anticipated debut alongside Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, will host the San Francisco Giants. The Giants' lineup includes Wilmer Flores and Mike Yastrzemski, promising a showdown filled with talent. Brian Anderson and Jeff Francoeur will provide commentary for this West Coast clash.

MLB 2024: Star-Packed TBS Tuesday Opener

TBS is enhancing its MLB coverage with a pregame show titled MLB on TBS Leadoff, starting at 6 p.m. ET. The show features a seasoned team including Ernie Johnson or Lauren Shehadi as hosts, alongside baseball legends Pedro Martinez, Jimmy Rollins, and Curtis Granderson. This marks their fifth season together, bringing expert insights and analysis to fans.

The network's commitment to baseball extends beyond live game broadcasts. TBS will air 26 Tuesday night regular-season games and exclusively host the 2024 ALDS and ALCS. Additionally, Bleacher Report and its MLB-focused vertical, B/R Walk-Off, will offer comprehensive coverage throughout the season. This includes new live shows in the B/R app and batting practice Q&As from some of the season's key games.

Mookie Betts will also return with his series "On Base with Mookie Betts" on Bleacher Report. This series offers fans an intimate look at MLB players' lives on and off the field through interviews conducted by the Dodgers shortstop himself.
