Mercedes-AMG GT 43 Coupe Unveiled: Elegance Meets Dynamic Performance

Mercedes-AMG has expanded its AMG GT Coupe lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43, a model that promises to blend elegance with dynamic driving capabilities. At the heart of the GT 43 lies a handcrafted AMG 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, capable of generating a robust 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. This power allows the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. A notable feature of this engine is its electric exhaust gas turbocharger technology, inspired by Formula 1™, which enhances throttle response.

The GT 43 is not just about raw power; it also focuses on efficiency and comfort. It incorporates a 48-volt on-board electrical system that not only operates the turbocharger but also acts as a mild hybrid. This system supports the engine at lower speeds and enables features such as gliding and recuperation, contributing to increased efficiency. Additionally, this technology ensures smoother transitions between start-stop and gliding functions, enhancing the driving experience.

New Mercedes-AMG GT 43: Pure Elegance

Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, has praised the GT 43 for its combination of elegance, pleasure, and dynamics, largely attributed to its rear-wheel drive concept. The vehicle is equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9G transmission featuring a wet start-off clutch for rapid response and short shift times. Active aerodynamics play a crucial role in the GT 43's design, with an AIRPANEL active air control system and a retractable rear spoiler improving aerodynamic efficiency.

The GT 43's suspension system utilizes multi-link suspension with lightweight aluminum components, ensuring optimal handling and stability. For braking, the car is fitted with an AMG high-performance composite brake system that guarantees excellent deceleration and control. Drivers can choose from five drive programs and benefit from the AMG DYNAMICS driving dynamics control system to tailor their driving experience.

From an aesthetic standpoint, the GT 43 boasts a unique exterior design marked by a newly designed front fascia and rear fascia with round double tailpipe trim accents, among other exclusive elements. The interior merges analog geometry with digital technology, featuring an 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen and the MBUX infotainment system. Additionally, customers have various customization options at their disposal, including exterior design packages and a selection of seating and trim options.

The introduction of the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 to the AMG GT Coupe portfolio signifies Mercedes-AMG's commitment to offering vehicles that combine performance with luxury and efficiency. With its advanced technology derived from Formula 1™, innovative hybrid features for enhanced efficiency, and customizable design options, the GT 43 is poised to offer a unique driving experience for enthusiasts seeking both elegance and dynamism in their vehicles.
