Mending Kids' Imagine Gala Celebrates Advances In Pediatric Surgical Care

The Skirball Cultural Center recently hosted the 19th Annual Imagine Gala by Mending Kids, a significant event that underscored the organization's commitment to offering life-altering surgical care to children globally. This year's gala not only celebrated the achievements of Mending Kids but also honored key contributors who have played a pivotal role in advancing pediatric healthcare.

Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's was awarded the prestigious LOVE Award, recognizing its leading role in pediatric healthcare and its long-standing support of Mending Kids. The institution's dedication to healing has significantly influenced pediatric medicine.

Dr. Jason Frischer, a pediatric colorectal surgeon from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, received the esteemed MEND Award for his exceptional service and commitment to improving healthcare standards. Dr. Frischer's contributions, especially in Tanzania, have had a profound impact on many lives.

The gala also featured a moving account from former patient Heber Carias, who shared his journey of overcoming a severe injury through the compassionate care provided by Mending Kids. His story highlighted the organization's critical role in transforming the lives of children and their families.
