Submit Your Creative Works To The MEGA International Festival 2024

The fourth annual MEGA International Creative Media Festival, hosted by the Academy of Film and Creative Technology at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, is now open for submissions. This prestigious event, set to occur from 10 to 16 May 2024 in Suzhou, China, invites both students and professionals to submit their creative media works by the deadline of 10 April 2024. The festival celebrates a wide array of creative media, including exhibitions, graphics, and art, aiming to foster communication and collaboration within the film, television, and creative media sectors.

At the heart of the festival is the International Creative Media Competition, complemented by the Film, New Media and Creative Technology Summit and digital media arts showcases. The competition's selection process involves a rigorous three-stage review conducted by the organising committee, XJTLU academic staff, and industry professionals. Notable figures such as Joe Cheung and You-Ning Lee are among the judges. Winners will have the unique opportunity to have their work exhibited at XJTLU's Dolby 4K Cinema.

Professor Li-Chuan Evelyn Mai highlighted the festival's global impact, noting last year's participation from 114 universities across 11 countries with 348 entries in various genres. "Our goal is to create a platform encouraging diversity and meaningful dialogue at the crossroads of technology and creativity," she stated. The festival not only showcases creative talent but also provides a valuable networking platform for creators.

Yun Lee, a Korean student who won Best TV Show in the student award section at last year's festival, shared her appreciation for the visibility and opportunities provided by MEGA. "The festival served as a valuable platform to showcase our creativity," she remarked.
