Maserati Celebrates Electric Future With Folgore Day, Reveals New Models

Maserati, the renowned Italian luxury vehicle brand, recently celebrated a significant milestone in its history with the commemoration of its 110th anniversary. This landmark event, dubbed Folgore Day, also marked Maserati's ambitious foray into the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of Maserati's new electric range, which includes the GranTurismo Folgore, Grecale Folgore, and GranCabrio Folgore models. Furthermore, the company has set its sights on launching the MC20 Folgore super sports car by 2025 and aims to achieve full electrification of its entire range by 2028.

During Folgore Day, Maserati's CEO, Davide Grasso, shared insights into the brand's electrification strategy at a press conference. The event underscored Maserati's commitment to sustainable profitability and the ongoing evolution of both the brand and its product offerings. Notably, Maserati's headquarters in Modena, Italy, will continue to serve as the epicentre of its operations as it transitions into this new era of mobility.

Maserati's Electric Dawn: Folgore Day

The event took place following the Formula E racing weekend at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Here, Maserati distinguished itself as the sole Italian luxury marque participating in the grid. Attendees had the opportunity to explore various facets of Maserati's engagement in electric mobility. This included displays featuring the Grecale Folgore rolling chassis, the Folgore charging wallbox, and detailed views of the GranTurismo Folgore axles and battery pack.

Another focal point of Folgore Day was Maserati's customisation programme, Fuoriserie. This initiative allows customers to tailor their dream Maserati to their personal preferences, showcased through a Configuration Box and various customisation elements presented during the event.

In an exciting extension of its electrification strategy beyond automotive boundaries, Maserati introduced TRIDENTE, an all-electric luxury motorboat developed in partnership with Vita Power. The 10.5-metre carbon fibre motorboat is designed to accommodate up to eight passengers and boasts a cruising speed of 25 knots with a top speed of 40 knots. This venture highlights Maserati's dedication to pioneering electric mobility solutions across different modes of transportation.

Folgore Day also served as the launch platform for Maserati's "It turns you on" campaign, featuring Italian musician Damiano David. The campaign aims to encapsulate the new energy that Maserati's electric vehicles bring to the market, focusing on models such as the GranTurismo Folgore, GranCabrio Folgore, and Grecale Folgore.

In essence, Folgore Day not only celebrated Maserati's rich heritage but also signalled a bold step towards its future in electric mobility. By embracing electrification, Maserati reaffirms its dedication to luxury consumers and its pursuit of excellence in producing electric vehicles that reflect its core values of sophisticated elegance and outstanding performance.
