London Concours 2024 To Celebrate The Iconic Jaguar E-Type
The Honourable Artillery Company is set to host a prestigious automotive celebration, the London Concours, from June 4th to 6th, with a special focus on the Jaguar E-Type. This iconic vehicle, often hailed by Enzo Ferrari as "the most beautiful car ever made," will be the centerpiece of a dedicated showcase on Wednesday, June 5th. Jaguar Classic is presenting this exclusive display, featuring ten significant E-Type models from its private collection, including the rare E-Type ZP Editions.
The exhibition promises to cover the E-Type's illustrious production history, from the early flat-floor Series 1 cars and the later V12 models to the highly coveted 'lightweight' specials. Since its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, the E-Type has been a symbol of automotive beauty and performance. Jaguar has continually enhanced the E-Type throughout its production years, introducing a 4.2-liter engine in the Series 1, making notable improvements in the Series 2, and incorporating a powerful V12 engine in the Series 3.

The London Concours aims to celebrate the timeless appeal and significant impact of the E-Type on automotive design. Andrew Evans, Managing Director of London Concours, shared his enthusiasm for showcasing this pinnacle of automotive excellence. Paul Barritt, Managing Director of Jaguar Classic, also expressed pride in honoring the legacy of what he described as an "iconic" and "beautiful" car.
Organized by Thorough Events, known for their successful automotive events including the Concours of Elegance, the London Concours has been recognized for its excellence with an award for Best Brand Expansion by Exhibition News at the Indy Awards. This event not only highlights the enduring allure of the Jaguar E-Type but also underscores London Concours' commitment to celebrating automotive history and design.
