LOKLiK And Momtaz Begum-Hossain Team Up For A DIY Event Supporting Suicide Prevention In London
In a recent collaboration that highlights the intersection of creativity and social responsibility, LOKLiK, a prominent figure in the DIY industry, co-sponsored a notable DIY social service event in East London alongside Momtaz Begum-Hossain, a distinguished advocate for creative expression. This event not only showcased LOKLiK's top-tier products but also underscored its commitment to social causes by donating all proceeds to the Calm Zone, a dedicated suicide prevention charity.
The event featured LOKLiK's acclaimed heat press machines and heat transfer materials, which come in a variety of patterns and colors. Products like the LOKLiK ImPressTM Easy and Mini were particularly favored by attendees, enabling them to create a wide range of designs, from simple patterns to intricate images. Momtaz Begum-Hossain, with her 15 years of experience as an editor for the UK's oldest crafts magazine, Popular Crafts, provided invaluable on-site guidance. Her expertise helped participants explore traditional handicrafts, fostering cultural connections and deepening understanding among individuals.

LOKLiK's initiative in London marks its inaugural venture into social service in the city, with the Calm Zone being the beneficiary of the event's proceeds. Established in 1997 in Merseyside, Britain, the Calm Zone aims to effect positive change in suicide prevention through various channels including sports, music, comedy, and fashion.
"We hope this event will underscore that DIY activities extend beyond mere creativity; they also offer psychological comfort and strengthen social ties among people. Our products enable individuals from diverse backgrounds to experience the joy of crafting and express themselves freely, thus promoting cultural exchange and further enhancing social bonds," stated Allen He, CMO of LOKLiK.
An attendee shared their personal experience at the event, saying, "I feel like I have been healed via crafting. I never thought that it could bring me such comfort and calm feeling." This sentiment was echoed by Momtaz Begum-Hossain who emphasized that such feedback is precisely why she is motivated to organize these craft workshops. She believes that crafts not only boost morale and confidence but also serve as cherished memories.
Through its support for the Calm Zone and ongoing commitment to social welfare activities across various countries and regions under ESG principles, LOKLiK demonstrates its belief in the power of creative activities to empower individuals and foster a sustainable, harmonious future. "It's just the beginning for LOKLiK in London. We cherish this city and see this as our first step forward," Allen He concluded.
