Lifebuoy And Doctor Anywhere Launch 'Highlympics' To Boost Preventive Health In Singapore

Lifebuoy, recognized globally as the leading hygiene soap brand, has unveiled its latest initiative, the 'Highlympics', in a strategic partnership with Doctor Anywhere (DA). This innovative campaign is set to offer fully subsidised health screenings, a timely response to concerning statistics regarding preventive health among Singaporeans. A recent survey conducted by Lifebuoy and DA highlighted that an alarming 60% of respondents had neglected health screenings over the past year. With high blood cholesterol levels on the rise among Singapore residents, the 'Highlympics' aims to motivate particularly the younger population towards a proactive approach in managing their health.

Lifebuoy's commitment to enhancing public health is further demonstrated through its user-friendly initiative allowing consumers to easily register for their health screenings. By scanning a QR code sticker on Lifebuoy body wash bottles, individuals can access the Doctor Anywhere platform for their no-cost health check-up. Poh Khim Yin, Global Lead for Lifebuoy, expressed the brand's dedication to making a significant impact on overall well-being by promoting preventive health measures. Similarly, Lim Wai Mun, Founder & CEO of Doctor Anywhere, emphasized the importance of early detection and management of chronic diseases through such health initiatives.

'Highlympics' Promotes Preventive Healthcare

The 'Highlympics' campaign shines a spotlight on three distinguished participants: Shanti Pereira, a record-breaking national sprinter; Tyen Rasif, a fitness coach and singer-songwriter; and Mongchin Yeoh, a beauty and lifestyle influencer known as Mongabong. These competitors will not only challenge each other in maintaining low levels across three critical 'highs' - high blood sugar, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol - but will also compete in the unique 'high-giene' category. This innovative segment involves using a germ detecting scanner to measure microbial presence on their hands, underscoring the vital role of hand hygiene in daily life.

Lifebuoy's presence in 11% of Singaporean households and its ranking as the sixth most chosen brand globally underscore its significant impact on public health practices. The brand's extensive efforts since 2010 have reached over one billion people across 30 countries through collaborations with NGOs and governments aimed at fostering positive hygiene habits.

The 'Highlympics' campaign by Lifebuoy, in collaboration with Doctor Anywhere, represents a pivotal step towards addressing the urgent need for increased awareness and action on preventive health care. By leveraging the influence of prominent figures like Shanti Pereira, Tyen Rasif, and Mongchin Yeoh, Lifebuoy aims to inspire Singaporeans to prioritize their health through regular screenings and optimal hygiene practices.
