This prestigious title was awarded by the Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY), marking a notable achievement in the automotive industry. The decision came after meticulous evaluations by a panel of 75 women motoring journalists spanning 52 countries across five continents, making it a truly global recognition.

The criteria for this honor included several key aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits, and environmental footprint. Kia's EV9 stood out among a competitive field of 63 contenders, showcasing its wide-ranging appeal and innovative features. Steven Center, COO & EVP at Kia America, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the EV9's advanced design, state-of-the-art technology, and versatility as reflections of Kia's dedication to enhancing the ownership experience.

Marta Garcia, executive president of WWCOTY, noted that this year's selection process was particularly challenging due to the high quality of all candidates. However, the Kia EV9 emerged victorious for its ability to meet consumer needs worldwide. The judges praised the EV9 for its user-friendliness, innovative design, family-friendly interior, comfortability, and spaciousness. Additionally, its superior aerodynamics were credited for contributing to its impressive performance.
