Kaplan Singapore Debuts New City Campus With Advanced Collaborative Learning Tools
On 22 February, an important milestone was reached in the field of education in Singapore with the launch of the new Kaplan City Campus at Odeon 331. This modern educational facility, inaugurated by Mr. David Jones, CEO of Kaplan International, and Dr. Susie Khoo, President of Kaplan Singapore, represents a significant step forward in providing an enhanced learning environment for students. The opening ceremony was attended by senior management from Kaplan, members of Kaplan's Industry Advisory Board, and distinguished guests.
Dr. Khoo emphasized the campus's role in optimizing academic success through its advanced technological features and collaborative learning spaces. "Our latest addition at Odeon 331 integrates advanced teaching technology to foster a collaborative learning environment," she stated, highlighting Kaplan's commitment to excellence in higher education.

The choice of Odeon 331 for the campus was strategic, considering its prime location and excellent connectivity to public transportation, retail malls, and cultural sites. Moreover, the campus's commitment to environmental sustainability is evident in its accreditation with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award.
The new campus spans 16,000 square feet and includes 12 classrooms across two floors, accommodating around 450 students simultaneously. This expansion complements Kaplan's existing infrastructure, which boasts over 60 classrooms. The campus also offers more than 100 self-study seats, providing various zones for students to engage with their lessons and assignments effectively.
Among the innovative features introduced is The Nexus, a space equipped with an 85-inch smart interactive touchscreen display board. This area is designed to enhance collaborative learning through intuitive on-screen interactions and height-adjustable tables that double as whiteboards. Additionally, the state-of-the-art classrooms are enhanced with technology that includes writable surfaces on walls and configurable layouts to cater to different learning experiences.
Another notable addition is the Private Online Discussion support stations (PODss), akin to video teller machines found in banks. These stations enable students at the new campus to contact their Programme Managers directly for one-on-one meetings without the need to travel between campuses, offering convenience and timely support.
Dr. Khoo also shared insights into Kaplan's future expansion plans. "The launch of our latest campus at Odeon 331 marks Phase 1 of our campus expansion plans," she revealed. The second phase is expected in the latter half of the year, promising more opportunities, facilities, and programmes aimed at enhancing student learning and growth.
This development not only underscores Kaplan's dedication to investing in top-notch facilities and resources for its students, faculty, and staff but also reflects its commitment to advancing the education sector in Singapore.
