Jackette Knightley Elevates LGBTQ+ Pride And Philanthropy Throughout The Year

Pride month isn't confined to June; it has evolved into a year-long celebration, raising millions for LGBTQ+ communities. Jackette Knightley, a prominent LGBTQ+ entertainer, has been honoured for the third consecutive year at The Hollywood Museum's Pride Exhibit for LGBTQ+ Icons and Legends on June 13. "Pride is 365," says the internationally acclaimed recording artist. Knightley expressed her excitement about hosting DAP Health's Dining Out for Life Palm Springs, a weekend event where downtown nightclubs and restaurants donate portions of their proceeds, raising nearly $3 million. These funds support the medical and housing needs of over 80,000 LGBTQ+ clients across Southern California's Coachella Valley.

Ms. Knightley's dedication to LGBTQ+ causes is evident through her performances aimed at keeping the arts alive. On May 25, she performed for 600 people at Los Globos Nightclub in Silver Lake for Dragstrip 66, a Hollywood institution that has been promoting drag and fundraising efforts for 31 years. She will also participate in West Hollywood's Pride Parade on June 2 with Gay4Good, an agency operating in 21 US cities that donates $3 million in resources to LGBTQ+ communities through 787 organisations.

Knightley Boosts LGBTQ+ Pride Yearly

West Hollywood's Pride Festival, running from May 30 to June 2, is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees and significantly contribute to the city's revenue, which exceeds $180 million. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and West Hollywood Cheerleaders will be present at the festival. They will also join Knightley in May to raise funds for Life Group LA, a non-profit organisation addressing the mental, emotional, and physical needs of underserved LGBTQ+ community members in Los Angeles.

In recognition of her contributions to music and philanthropy, Jackette Knightley will be inducted into The Hollywood Museum's 2024 Pride Exhibit for LGBTQ+ Icons and Legends. Her extensive body of work includes three albums, over 60 singles, and nine international awards. Costumes from her upcoming LGBTQ+ dance album, "Pride (Strongest of Strong)," will be featured in the exhibit, which runs for one year. Proceeds from the album, set to release on June 1 on all streaming platforms, will be donated to LGBTQ+ charities during Pride month.

Knightley is also the host of Huntington Beach Pride. Her upcoming album features collaborations with San Diego's Pride Host Disco Dollie and Fullerton's Pride Host Kay Sedia. She is scheduled to perform at Santa Barbara Pride on August 24 and will host Huntington Beach Pride this autumn. Additionally, she will entertain at Palm Springs Pride on November 3.

Jackette Knightley's commitment to the LGBTQ+ community underscores that Pride is indeed a year-round celebration.
