ITG Continues Excellence With CMMI Level 3 Reappraisal For Development And Services

The company has been reappraised at Maturity Level 3 of the CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for both Software Development Operations and Service Call Management. ITG's journey with CMMI began in 2005 when it was first appraised for CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV), followed by an appraisal for CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) in 2011. Conducted by Dr. Richard Waina of Multi-Dimensional Maturity for System Engineering and Software Engineering, ITG has successfully undergone reappraisals every three years for CMMI-DEV, marking this year as its sixth completed reappraisal. For CMMI-SVC, this year represents the fifth completed reappraisal. Dr. Waina highlighted ITG's continuous process improvement and the realization of significant operational efficiencies and bottom-line benefits over time.

In response to the rapid growth in software services, ITG expanded its CMMI-DEV reappraisal to encompass all types of Software Development and Software Operations. Additionally, ITG has completed its appraisal against CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) for its National Support Center, which provides help desk support globally.

Two critical factors have contributed to ITG's successful reappraisal efforts: a dedicated team and the implementation of enhanced software systems. The team adheres strictly to all CMMI processes for Software Development, from the submission of a Change Request to the final product verification, validation, and acceptance. Furthermore, ITG has made substantial investments in top-tier software solutions to support its diverse clientele. This includes the operation of an internal proprietary ERP system named CENTRE (Common Enterprise Resource), which supports all IT managed and consulting business units.

Looking ahead, ITG is committed to implementing next-level processes beyond the currently appraised level. The company has initiated the installation and upgrading of existing systems to transition into a 'Quantitatively Managed' level. Utilizing systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales, Deltek Finance Solution, PowerBi, and Atlassian Confluence, ITG provides daily authoritative reporting on trends, status, results, and costs.
