Jay Burress joins Hunden Partners as Executive Vice President of Tourism. With over 35 years of experience, Burress has transformed destinations such as Anaheim, Dallas, and Arlington. Hunden Partners Adds Two Executive Vice Presidents

"I’ve always enjoyed placemaking as a DMO leader," says Burress. "For the next phase of my career, I sought an entrepreneurially minded firm with an international reach and an impressive track record. I am delighted to find all of that in Hunden."

Bethanie DeRose, CDME, joins as Executive Vice President of Consulting. Known for her data-driven approach, DeRose has led significant projects across the U.S. and internationally. She is currently spearheading the largest DMO-led statewide tourism strategic plan in the United States for Visit California.

"Many of my projects start as ideas on paper and turn into literal, and philosophical, shovels in the ground," says DeRose. "I’m excited to support more clients at Hunden as they look to grow their destinations while simultaneously improving the quality of place."

Hunden's Expanding Expertise

Rob Hunden, CEO and founder of Hunden Partners, expressed enthusiasm about the new hires. "We are thrilled to welcome Jay and Bethanie to the team. The number of clients requesting placemaking plans, tourism strategies, and feasibility studies continues to grow," he said.

Hunden Partners is known for its comprehensive project advisory services. The firm has conducted over 1,000 studies and contributed to more than $25 billion in projects globally. Their clients include cities, states, universities, DMOs, authorities, and private developers.

Future Projects

Burress will oversee destination development studies and implementation efforts for major tourism assets such as convention centers and sports facilities. DeRose will continue her work with Visit California while leading strategic planning at Hunden.
