Hong Kong Engineers Week Carnival Brings Innovation And Fun To The Forefront

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) is currently hosting the Hong Kong Engineers Week Carnival at Harbourside Lawn, West Kowloon Cultural District, under the theme "Be the Change". This event, running until 3 March, is a vibrant showcase of the engineering industry, featuring over 40 booths and games from various partners. It has successfully attracted a large number of visitors, including many families, to explore and engage with the world of engineering.

On its second day, the Carnival saw the "Our Future Engineers" Secondary Student Quiz Contest, a competition designed to spark students' interest in engineering. Teams from different schools, formed by HKIE members, competed in a quiz focusing on engineering and science topics. After intense rounds of competition, Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui College emerged as the Champion, with Our Lady of the Rosary College and Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College securing the first and second runner-up positions respectively.

Innovative Fun at Engineers Week Carnival

Additionally, five finalists from the "Engineer Alliance" participated in a quiz competition, showcasing their expertise to the public. The final round of this competition is scheduled for tomorrow (3 March), where a winner will be decided through judges' evaluation and public voting.

The Carnival has also featured a variety of performances to entertain attendees, including singing by artist Travis WONG, rope performance, freestyle football, and Yo-Yo performance. The event remains open to the public for free on its final day, promising more activities such as the "Our Dream City" primary school design competition and the closing ceremony.
