Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival 2024: A Celebration Of Cultural Heritage
The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has marked a significant milestone in its journey of celebrating the traditional Vietnamese garment, the Ao Dai. The 10th edition of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, held from March 7th to March 17th, 2024, was a testament to the enduring appeal and cultural significance of the Ao Dai. This year's festival saw an unprecedented level of participation and innovation. A total of 24 image ambassadors and 30 renowned Ao Dai designers joined forces to present the special Co-Performance titled "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai." This event attracted over 5,000 women from Thu Duc City and 21 districts across Ho Chi Minh City, alongside festival ambassadors, artists, actors, and local residents, showcasing a unified spirit of cultural celebration.

Competitions such as the "Charming Ao Dai Ho Chi Minh City" contest drew over 800 participants, while the Ao Dai painting contest saw entries from more than 400 students. Additionally, a logo design contest commemorating the festival's 10-year anniversary received over 250 submissions. An online contest titled "Ao Dai and 100 exciting things about Ho Chi Minh City" further engaged the community with more than 1,500 images submitted, highlighting the garment's versatility and its deep connection to the city's identity.
