Genesis Unveils Neolun And GV60 Magma Concepts, Showcasing Brand Evolution
Genesis, the luxury vehicle division of Hyundai, recently showcased two innovative concept vehicles at Genesis House in New York, marking a significant stride in the brand's journey towards electrification and high-performance automotive design. The unveiling of the Neolun Concept and the GV60 Magma Concept not only highlights Genesis' commitment to technological innovation but also its dedication to combining such advancements with the essence of Korean hospitality.
The Neolun Concept emerges as a full-size electric SUV that redefines luxury travel. Its design philosophy, centered around "reductive design," showcases clean lines and a sophisticated two-tone color scheme named "Midnight Black" and "Majestic Blue." This vehicle eliminates the traditional B-pillar, incorporating coach doors that enhance its sleek, seamless exterior. Inside, the Neolun Concept prioritizes comfort and relaxation, featuring spacious seating with a swiveling function for the front-row seats. The interior is a haven of luxury, adorned with cashmere and vintage-inspired leather, and is equipped with a radiant heating system inspired by Korea's traditional "ondol" heating method. Furthermore, an advanced sound system within the cabin promises a concert hall-like auditory experience.

With the GV60 Magma Concept, Genesis signals its ambitious entry into high-performance vehicles. This concept enhances the existing GV60 electric SUV through superior battery and motor technology. Its design is tailored for aesthetics and performance, featuring a widened and lowered body, aerodynamic enhancements, and strategically placed fins to optimize airflow. The interior boasts bucket seats upholstered in nappa and suede leather with intricate double-diamond stitching patterns, emphasizing the vehicle's high-performance credentials.
Genesis also presented other vehicles under its high-performance Magma program: the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Magma Special, and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. The brand announced plans to develop Magma models for each production vehicle in its lineup, showcasing these concepts at the 2024 New York International Auto Show.
A Future Shaped by Performance and Sustainability

Genesis' vision extends beyond delivering superior performance; it encompasses a commitment to design, safety, innovation, and sustainability. The brand's focus on electrification is evident in its award-winning models such as the Electrified G80, GV60, and Electrified GV70. Through these initiatives, Genesis aims to lead in the age of electrification while staying true to its roots of audacious and forward-thinking Korean characteristics.
