Final Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival Edition Delivered In Unique Verde Bosco
On the 15th of April, 2024, a significant milestone was reached in the automotive world as the 24th and final Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival rolled off the production line. This marks a pivotal moment, exactly two years after the unveiling of the first prototype of this exclusive series. The last car boasts a distinctive green flecked hue, dubbed Bizzarrini Verde Bosco Ventiquattro (VBV), celebrating the conclusion of this hand-built continuation series. This series pays homage to the original model that clinched its class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1965.
The choice of colour for the final car is deeply rooted in Bizzarrini's rich heritage. It mirrors a concours-winning original owned by an American collector, who allowed Bizzarrini's bespoke team to access and replicate the shade for this modern revival. Similarly, other cars in the series were finished in Bizzarrini Rosso Corsa, matching the original Le Mans winner, thanks to an original panel that preserved the colour over decades.
Each vehicle in the Revival series is meticulously crafted with a lightweight composite body over a steel frame, featuring a comprehensive six-point roll cage and safety fuel cell compliant with FIA Appendix K regulations. The cars are powered by a front-mid engine V8, delivering over 400 horsepower, and equipped with independent rear suspension and all-round disc brakes, ensuring a power to weight ratio on par with today's supercars.
Bizzarrini's dedicated UK facility has been producing one bespoke 5300 GT Corsa Revival each month, demonstrating the brand's maturity and readiness for its next venture: the launch of the all-new Giotto hypercar. The Giotto is a collaborative effort between Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio at GFG Style in Turin, Italy, reigniting a historic brand partnership. Unlike its predecessors focused on maximum speed or lap times, the Giotto prioritises driving engagement and will feature a bespoke V12 engine developed with Cosworth.
Simon Busby, Bizzarrini CMO, expressed his pride in the Revival project as not just a reintroduction of the Bizzarrini brand but as a testament to its enduring legacy. "The demand for this car and interest in our future plans is exactly what we hoped for," Busby stated. "It's an affirmation of our efforts to honour one of the greatest automotive engineers and designers of all time."
Bizzarrini is an iconic Italian motorsport marque founded in 1964 by Giotto Bizzarrini himself. Under new ownership since 2020, it aims to blend premier design, craftsmanship, and engineering excellence for contemporary collectors and enthusiasts. With its eyes now set on developing the Giotto, Bizzarrini is poised to add another chapter to its storied legacy.
