FedEx And Visa Unite To Propel Thai Businesses Into Global Markets With Shipping Discounts

Offering substantial shipping discounts to Visa Commercial debit and credit cardholders, FedEx Express, a leading express transportation company and a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has announced a strategic alliance with Visa, a global leader in digital payments. This collaboration aims to support local businesses, including small-and-medium enterprises (SMEs) in Thailand, in their efforts to expand their reach to overseas markets. Through this partnership, FedEx is providing up to a 60% discount on shipping rates for Visa Commercial debit and credit cardholders, encompassing both Business cards for SMEs and Corporate cards for corporations in Thailand.

Available immediately until December 31, 2024, the discount covers a broad spectrum of services such as FedEx International Priority Express, FedEx International Priority, FedEx International Economy, FedEx International Priority Freight, and FedEx International Economy Freight. This initiative enables customers to leverage fast and reliable logistics solutions that connect over 220 countries and territories globally. Sasathorn Phaspinyo, managing director of FedEx Express Thailand, highlighted the significance of this program in supporting the growth ambitions of Thai businesses, particularly SMEs which represent 99.5% of all businesses and employ 70% of the country's workforce, as per the Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO).

FedEx's commitment to bolstering the growth of local businesses and enhancing supply chains is evident through its continuous introduction of innovative services tailored to the diverse needs of Thai businesses. These innovations include Application Programming Interface solutions that allow e-tailers to integrate FedEx shipping services into their storefronts. Additionally, FedEx Ship Manager Lite offers the convenience of shipping packages without the need for printed documents. Expanding its suite of logistics solutions further, FedEx recently introduced one-stop-shop logistics solutions for dangerous goods in Chiang Mai and Lamphun, facilitating the convenient shipment of items such as electronic devices and paints via FedEx International Priority service.
