Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Unveils New EV Charge-Points In Sustainability Push

The recent unveiling of 16 new electric vehicle (EV) charge-points at Bannau Brycheiniog National Park marks a significant step forward in the UK's journey towards sustainable travel. This initiative, funded by BMW UK, is part of the broader Recharge in Nature partnership between BMW and UK National Parks, aimed at bolstering the country's EV charging infrastructure while simultaneously supporting nature restoration and community impact projects.

Strategically located at the park's Visitor Centre and Craig-y-Nos Country Park, these charge-points enable EV drivers to recharge their vehicles amidst the natural splendor of Bannau Brycheiniog. This move not only facilitates zero-emission travel but also aligns with the overarching goal of the Recharge in Nature project to equip all 15 of the UK's National Parks with EV chargers. National Parks Partnerships (NPP), an entity working alongside all 15 National Parks, facilitates partnerships with the private sector to foster conservation efforts and enhance park amenities. Through collaborations with companies like BMW, Santander, and Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland, NPP has been instrumental in launching initiatives like Revere: Investing in Nature. This project aims to leverage green finance to support large-scale environmental projects within the parks.
