DJI Dock 2 Elevates Automatic Drone Operations To New Heights

DJI, a global leader in the field of civil drones and camera technology, has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the DJI Dock 2. This advanced "drone in a box" enterprise solution is set to revolutionize tasks such as surveying, inspections, asset management, and security operations. The DJI Dock 2, equipped with the DJI Matrice 3D/3TD drone, promises to streamline these operations through its cloud-based management system, DJI FlightHub 2. Notably lighter and more compact than its predecessor, the DJI Dock 2 introduces cloud-based intelligent functions that enhance operational efficiency.

The new dock stands out for its ability to generate accurate 3D models from flight data and automate routine surveying tasks. Weighing in at 75 pounds and with dimensions of 22.4 inches in length, 22.9 inches in width, and 18.3 inches in height, the dock is designed for easy transportation by two adults. Its vision sensors play a crucial role in evaluating a site before drone deployment, significantly reducing the site selection process to 12 minutes or less. Furthermore, the DJI Dock 2 boasts an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, enabling it to function in extreme weather conditions.

DJI Dock 2: Drone Ops Redefined

One of the key features of the DJI Dock 2 is its autonomous operational capability. It can be programmed to complete missions automatically, although operators have the option to remotely control the flight and gimbal angle if necessary. Remarkably, the dock requires maintenance only every six months and can continue operating independently for up to five hours during a power outage.

The accompanying DJI Matrice 3D/3TD drones are equipped with integrated RTK antennas for precise positioning, obstacle sensing for enhanced safety, and boast a maximum flight time of 50 minutes. The Matrice 3D is specifically designed for mapping and surveying missions, while the Matrice 3TD caters to security and inspection operations. Both models are compatible with third-party software and payloads, offering flexibility for various enterprise needs. Interested parties can reserve these drones starting from March 26, with pricing available through authorized DJI Enterprise dealers.

This latest offering from DJI underscores the company's commitment to advancing drone technology for enterprise applications. By simplifying complex operations and enhancing data accuracy through intelligent automation, the DJI Dock 2 is poised to set a new standard in the industry.
