Dacia Sandero Range Expands With New Engine And Journey Trim Level
The Dacia Sandero Stepway Extreme has recently been updated with a new turbocharged TCe 110 engine, offering a more robust performance with 110 hp and an impressive fuel efficiency of 45.6 mpg (WLTP combined). This addition expands the powertrain options for the Sandero Stepway Extreme to four, allowing customers greater flexibility in their vehicle choice. The TCe 110 engine not only delivers a strong and efficient driving experience but also adheres to Euro 6 emissions standards, emitting just 125 g/km CO2.
Alongside this engine update, Dacia has introduced the Journey trim level to the Sandero range, a specification already popular among Duster owners. This new trim level enhances the Sandero with features such as automatic air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, Blind Spot Warning, and the MediaNav infotainment system equipped with an 8-inch screen. This system supports DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, Smartphone replication via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and includes USB-C ports both front and rear.

The Journey trim also marks the introduction of automatic transmission options for the Sandero when paired with the TCe 90 engine. Exterior enhancements include a shark-fin antenna and ‘Randia’ 16-inch alloy wheels, while the interior benefits from added comforts such as a high central armrest with console storage and door sill protectors.
Both the Sandero and Sandero Stepway models have been made compliant with the European General Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2) from April production onwards. This compliance ensures that all versions produced after this date will feature enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that meet stringent safety standards.
Available for order from 3 April 2024, the Sandero Journey is priced starting at £15,795 on-the-road, while the Sandero Stepway TCe 110 is available at £18,645 on-the-road. These updates aim to make the already popular Dacia models even more appealing to customers by offering enhanced performance, safety, and comfort features.
