Buxton To Host H&H Classics Auction Featuring Over 100 Classic Cars
H&H Classics is gearing up for an impressive auction on April 24th in Buxton, Derbyshire, where over 100 classic and performance cars are set to go under the hammer. The collection, valued at over £2 million, spans a wide range of eras, from vintage veterans to sought-after modern classics. Among the highlights is a rare 1954 Bentley R-Type, believed to have been owned by businessman Peter de Savary, with an estimated price tag of £30,000 - £40,000.
Another notable entry is a 1973 Bentley T1, which has graced both the James Hull and Jaguar Land Rover Collections. This unique Larch Green painted vehicle is expected to fetch between £18,000 and £22,000. The auction isn't just about classic elegance; it also features modern marvels like a 2014 BMW i8 and a 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider. A 2005 Renault Megane Renault Sport 225, boasting low mileage, is also up for grabs with an estimate of £5,000 - £7,000.
Damian Jones, director of H&H Classics, credits the varied selection to the growing fascination with modern classics. The event will also showcase a 1984 Mercedes-Benz 280SL kept within one family since its initial purchase and a manual gearbox 1974 Jaguar E-Type Roadster with an extensive history. A no-reserve offering includes a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Fixed-Head Coupe.
For those with an interest in even older models, the auction presents a 1928 'Flatnose' Morris Cowley and a 1926 AC Six Aceca. A late 1950s Vauxhall 'E-series' Velox and a twin-engined Ford Model A speedster, dubbed 'The Ballard Special', will also be available. The event is scheduled for April 24th, with viewing opportunities on the preceding day. Interested parties can participate in person, online, via telephone, or through commission bids.
H&H Classics holds the title of the longest continually trading auction house in the UK and Europe. It has a history of achieving record prices for classic vehicles, making this upcoming auction an anticipated event for car enthusiasts and collectors alike.
