Partnership Between Circular Computing And Total IT Global Sets New Standard For Sustainable IT

In a significant move for sustainable IT practices, Circular Computing, renowned for its leadership in sustainable IT and laptop remanufacturing, has unveiled a strategic alliance with Total IT Global. This partnership marks the introduction of the world's first BSI-certified remanufactured laptops to the market. The announcement came during the Re: Sustainable IT Summit hosted by Circular Computing, which focuses on promoting the circular economy within the IT sector.

Under this new collaboration, each laptop is subjected to a comprehensive 360-point inspection process to ensure its performance is "equal to or better than new." This initiative not only reduces emissions and costs but also comes with the assurance of the BSI Kitemark™. In an era where Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations are becoming paramount for businesses, this partnership paves the way for the widespread adoption of remanufactured laptops in corporate environments.

New Era for Sustainable IT

Businesses opting for these certified carbon-neutral IT hardware will benefit from a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions—producing merely 6.34% of the CO2 emissions compared to an average new laptop. This claim is backed by a peer-reviewed scientific study conducted by Cranfield University. Moreover, Total IT Global's comprehensive offerings, including asset financing, tech support, and Device as a Service (DaaS), promise a seamless and eco-friendly IT deployment for companies aiming to scale efficiently and effectively.

Akhil Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Total IT Global, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "This collaboration will open new vistas for enterprises to choose responsibly and make a measured impact towards sustainability. With Circular Computing's technology and Total IT Global's worldwide presence and capabilities in Device as a Service (DaaS), we can introduce a whole new way of deploying hardware to the world."

Rod Neale, Founder and CEO of Circular Computing, also shared his excitement: "We're excited to collaborate with Total IT Global which has a global presence supporting the end customers' digital journey. Sustainability is high on the agenda for business leaders, but it's never going to have scale unless we can commercialise it. We've achieved that now in Europe, and have a rapidly growing list of business customers that rely on us to deliver a sustainable and socially responsible way to buy enterprise-grade IT."

Neale further highlighted the importance of high-quality, reliable second-life hardware as a crucial solution to combatting climate change and addressing the e-waste crisis. He optimistically noted that remanufacturing is becoming increasingly recognized as an essential component of a truly circular economy.

This partnership between Circular Computing and Total IT Global not only signifies a major leap towards sustainable computing but also demonstrates how collaboration can lead to innovative solutions that benefit both the environment and businesses seeking to adopt greener practices. As companies worldwide continue to prioritize sustainability, such initiatives offer practical pathways towards achieving more responsible consumption and production patterns.
