Top Houston Chefs Join Forces For The 5th Annual Celebrity Chefs Against Cancer Benefit
Houston's culinary scene takes center stage as the Four Seasons Hotel Houston, in collaboration with the Camp H-Town board of directors, gears up to host the 5th annual Celebrity H-Town Chefs Against Cancer event. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, this gala is not just a celebration of gastronomy but a significant philanthropic effort aimed at supporting Camp H-Town. The Grand Ballroom of the hotel will transform into a gastronome's paradise, featuring 21 of Houston's finest chefs from top-tier restaurants. These culinary artists will be serving up their signature dishes at live action stations, complemented by an exquisite selection of wines and hand-crafted cocktails.
The event promises an evening filled with more than just delectable food and drinks; attendees will be entertained by DJ Daniel Buckman of BELLOSOUND, with television news personality Ruben Dominguez taking on the role of emcee. Among the participating restaurants and chefs are notable names such as Chef Jonathan Esparza of Toro Toro, Executive Pastry Chef Krystin McCarley from Four Seasons Hotel Houston, and Chef Hugo Ortega of Xochi, to name a few.

In a bid to surpass last year's fundraising achievements, the event will feature an extensive silent auction offering luxury stays at Four Seasons hotels nationwide, high-end goods, and dining experiences at participating restaurants. Highlight auction items include an Austin Formula 1 VIP Experience Weekend and a live-created painting by Taft McWhorter. All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit Camp H-Town, providing children affected by cancer with an unforgettable summer camp experience at no cost to their families.
This year's camp theme, "Around the World," draws inspiration from beloved children's movies and their adventurous characters. Campers can look forward to a variety of activities hosted both at the hotel and around Houston, including a Movie Night, Pool Party, and Dance Night at House of Blues.
Tom Segesta, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Houston, expressed his enthusiasm for the event: "There’s nothing like bringing the Houston community and the city’s top chefs together for Celebrity Chefs Against Cancer. Coming off last year’s record fundraising, we look forward to doing even more through this incredible evening of food and drink for these amazing and brave children."
Tickets for Celebrity Chefs Against Cancer are now available for purchase, with limited sponsorship opportunities offering reserved seating and VIP benefits still open. Attendees can also take advantage of special room rates at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston for the event night. Furthermore, luxury rideshare partner ALTO is providing an exclusive offer for attendees with USD 15 off two rides on April 24 using the code CAMPHTOWN.
Camp H-Town stands as a beacon of hope and joy for children battling cancer. By transforming an entire floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Houston into a vibrant 'campground,' complete with bunk beds and camping gear, the initiative offers these young campers a week filled with fun activities, new friendships, and cherished memories—all under the watchful care of MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital's medical staff and dedicated volunteers.
