BridgeCare's $10M Boost To Revolutionize Digital Transformation In Early Education

In a significant move for the early care and education (ECE) sector, BridgeCare, a leading data and technology infrastructure platform, has announced a substantial $10 million investment from Avenue Growth Partners. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for BridgeCare, which operates in 14 states, offering modern SaaS solutions to enhance the ECE system's equity and effectiveness. The investment by Avenue, known for backing category-leading vertical SaaS companies, will fuel innovation and service expansion to meet the growing demands for digital transformation in early care.

Jamee Herbert, co-founder and CEO of BridgeCare, highlighted the investment as a milestone following years of organic growth driven by the urgent need for innovative solutions in the ECE sector. "This partnership with Avenue propels us forward, enabling expansion into more states and counties to make equitable and accessible early care and education a reality," Herbert stated. The need for such modernization has become increasingly apparent, with critical ECE processes like provider licensing still relying on outdated methods in many areas.

$10M for Early Education Digital Leap

The U.S. Office of Educational Technology's August 2023 report underscored education's digital status as "critical infrastructure," emphasizing the importance of secure, accessible, and resilient solutions. BridgeCare has seized opportunities for impact within this critical infrastructure role, addressing the sector's slow digital adoption similar to the healthcare industry's challenges with electronic medical records.

Ryan Russell, co-founder and partner at Avenue Growth Partners, praised BridgeCare's founding team and their success in addressing a critical gap in early child care. "The intersection of the company’s mission with the entrepreneurial opportunity to generate meaningful value for the ECE ecosystem compelled us," Russell remarked. With over 500 U.S. counties utilizing BridgeCare's software, the platform has significantly impacted, serving more than 500,000 families and 50,000 providers with improved access to affordable, high-quality child care and education.

Herbert expressed pride in BridgeCare's achievements but acknowledged the journey ahead. "We're excited to build upon our existing relationships within the nation’s most ambitious ECE initiatives and deliver more innovations to make their equity and accessibility goals a reality," Herbert concluded.

BridgeCare has established itself as a key player in building data and technology infrastructure for government agencies and organizations aiming to create an effective early childhood education system for all. Operating with an entirely parent-led team, BridgeCare's solutions have expanded quality child care availability across 14 states.

Avenue Growth Partners continues to support B2B software entrepreneurs through growth capital investments in vertical-market leaders. With headquarters in Washington, D.C., Avenue's portfolio includes notable investments such as PortPro, BizzyCar, Rosie, and Hive.
