Braskem Initiates Supply Chain Transformation With OMP's Expertise

In a significant move towards enhancing its supply chain capabilities, Braskem, the leading thermoplastic resin producer in the Americas, has announced its collaboration with OMP, a renowned provider of advanced supply chain planning solutions. This partnership marks a pivotal step in Braskem's digital transformation journey, with the initial implementation of OMP's Unison PlanningTM set to take place at the company's Brazilian facilities.

The integration of Unison Planning aims to refine Braskem's planning processes, ensuring an optimal mix of timing, grade, and volume at each plant. By leveraging increased automation and the strategic use of solvers, Braskem anticipates improvements in operational planning and production scheduling. This enhancement is expected to yield greater efficiency for planners and comprehensive visibility across the company’s entire supply chain.

The project's core will focus on the implementation of integrated operational planning alongside distribution requirements planning (DRP), production scheduling, and material requirements planning (MRP). Through this initiative, Braskem seeks to boost agility and maximize the efficiency and service level of its assets via a more streamlined supply chain. This approach emphasizes analytical skills and data-driven decision-making to empower their team.
