Bentley Home Unveils New Office Furniture Line At Milan Design Week 2024
Bentley is venturing into the home office domain with an innovative collection set to be unveiled at Milan Design Week 2024. This marks a significant expansion for Bentley Home, introducing a line that reimagines the iconic Bentley Desk through the collaborative efforts of designers Carlo Colombo, Federico Peri, and Francesco Forcellini. The collection is a celebration of material innovation, design lightness, and environmental sustainability.
The historic Palazzo Chiesa will host the Bentley Home Atelier, presenting the collection within a captivating installation. Drawing inspiration from Salento, Southern Italy—home to Bentley Home collaborator Paper Factor—the collection integrates micro cellulose and natural pigments, emphasizing sustainable design practices.
Among the highlights of the new collection is the Wilton desk by Francesco Forcellini. It boasts a dynamic, clean design with curved details and a dual-shell profile that reveals drawers, enhancing its lightweight appearance. The desk is available in Liquid Amber with Dark Shadow customization and Warm Grey Fiddleback Sycamore with Deep Ocean customization.
The Bollington office armchair, also designed by Forcellini, mirrors Bentley's sleek design ethos and strong aesthetic presence. It features a minimalist backrest that complements the Wilton desk, creating a cohesive look. The armchair's design includes organic armrests that reflect the desk's contours.
Federico Peri's contribution to the collection is the Loftus sofa, a modular piece that adds sophistication and sculptural lines to Bentley Home. It incorporates floating cushions and integrated side tables in marble or leather, introducing automotive-inspired textures and layers.
Carlo Colombo's designs include the Chilton armchair and chair, which feature sinuous curves inspired by automotive designs. The outer shell combines veneer bands inserted into a leather shell, contributing to the dynamic feel of these pieces.
The Langport bed, another creation by Colombo, stands out as an iconic piece within the collection. It offers customizable options for external panels in veneer, lacquer, leather, or fabric. The bed is distinguished by its Striped Diamond pattern with metal inlays and sophisticated integrated reading lights in the headboard.
The Bentley Home Atelier at Palazzo Chiesa will welcome visitors from April 16th to April 21st during Milan Design Week. This collection underscores Bentley's dedication to merging its unique design DNA—characterized by comfort, craftsmanship, and elegance—with contemporary furniture design. Through collaborations with talented designers and a commitment to sustainability and customization options, Bentley is poised to make a significant impact on the luxury furniture market.
