Banff Sunshine Village Announces Extended Chair Lift Hours For Spring Ski Season
As the spring season unfolds on the picturesque slopes of Banff Sunshine, the allure of pristine blue skies coupled with fresh snowfall beckons skiers and snowboarders to the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Sunshine Village, renowned for its majestic setting and premium skiing conditions, is set to enhance the spring skiing experience with extended operational hours. This adjustment aims to provide enthusiasts with more time to enjoy the exhilarating slopes under the spring sun.
With a significant snow accumulation of over 13 feet recorded on its slopes during the initial half of the winter season, Banff Sunshine is well-prepared for a spectacular close to the ski and snowboard season. The advent of spring not only brings about warmer temperatures and additional snowfall but also longer daylight hours, setting the stage for an unparalleled alpine adventure.

Starting from March 9, 2024, Banff Sunshine Village will operate all lifts daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the Jackrabbit lift extending its service until 5:00 PM. This extension will be in effect up until the eagerly awaited Slush Cup event on Monday, May 20, 2024. Kendra Scurfield, Vice President of Brand & Communications at Banff Sunshine Village, expressed her enthusiasm for the season, stating, "Spring is a special time for us at Banff Sunshine. By extending our hours, skiers and riders can soak up a little more Sunshine during their ski day and make the most of this incredible season."
To further enhance the spring skiing experience, Banff Sunshine offers the Spring Pass for avid skiers and riders. An adult Spring Pass provides access to 73 days of skiing for a competitive price of $640 + GST. Additionally, the resort hosts a series of events nearly every weekend as part of their Spring Concert Series presented by Coors Light, promising vibrant entertainment amidst the breathtaking scenery.
Banff Sunshine Village stands at an elevation of 7,000 feet (2,133 meters) above sea level, nestled within the iconic peaks of the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park. The resort is celebrated for its all-natural snow and operates a long winter ski season that spans from mid-November to late May.
