B-ON Set To Unveil Production-Ready Pelkan ELCV At Birmingham's CV Show

In a significant move towards sustainable transportation, B–ON, a renowned provider of productive mobility solutions, is set to unveil its latest innovation, the Pelkan electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV), at the Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show in Birmingham, UK. Scheduled from April 23rd to 25th, this event will mark the debut of the Pelkan in its production-intent specification, following the showcase of prototypes at earlier international events.

The Pelkan, designed with a focus on the needs of last-mile delivery services, boasts class-leading payload capabilities and a competitive range. It is available in two battery variants, 43 and 54 kWh, catering to diverse operational needs. The vehicle's driver-centric cabin enhances usability, ensuring a seamless experience for operators. B–ON anticipates the first deliveries of Pelkan in mainland Europe by Q4 of this year, with versions tailored for the UK market expected in Q1 2025.

Also making its European debut is B–ON's proprietary smart dispenser technology. This innovative system simplifies the loading and unloading process for delivery personnel through GPS functionality and an automated rotating shelf system, presenting the correct package based on the vehicle's location. This technology is available as an add-on for Pelkan or as a standalone solution for integration into third-party vehicles.

Complementing these offerings is B–ON's electrical energy storage (EES) unit, utilizing second-life EV batteries. This modular system offers reliable access to affordable electricity for EV charging or businesses looking to reduce energy costs. The EES unit's customizable design ensures it meets the specific requirements of each customer.

B–ON will also showcase its fleet management and energy charge management (ECM) software suites at the CV Show. These software solutions provide advanced connectivity to both vehicle fleets and electrical infrastructure, aiming to deliver significant uptime and cost savings per kilometer.

Journalists are invited to attend the official launch presentation of Pelkan at the CV Show on media day, Tuesday, April 23, at 10:25 BST.
