Aviva And Darwin Enhance Autonomous Vehicle Insurance With New Shuttle In The UK

In a significant move towards advancing autonomous transportation in the UK, insurance giant Aviva has teamed up with Darwin Innovation Group and the University of Salford to launch a second self-driving shuttle as part of the Darwin Autonomous Shuttle service. This innovative shuttle, devoid of a driver or steering wheel, relies on sophisticated technology including cameras, LiDAR sensors, 3D maps, and self-driving software to navigate its path, collect passengers, and circumvent obstacles. Both shuttles are currently operational at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.
