Aston Martin Launches State-of-the-Art Showroom In Tokyo's High-End District
Aston Martin, the iconic ultra-luxury car brand, has further cemented its presence in the luxury retail market with the opening of its latest state-of-the-art showroom, Aston Martin Ginza, located within the prestigious luxury hotel, The Peninsula Tokyo. This move follows the successful launch of the brand's first global flagship location, Q New York, earlier in 2023, underlining Aston Martin's ambitious retail strategy and commitment to enhancing customer experience.
The newly inaugurated Aston Martin Ginza is notable for being the first showroom in Asia to fully embrace the refreshed corporate identity of the ultra-luxury brand. Spanning two floors and covering an impressive area of 324 square metres, the showroom is designed to showcase three iconic Aston Martin models. It features a large digital media wall and a luxurious customer lounge, offering clients a highly personal space to create their own custom Aston Martin.

The opening of Aston Martin Ginza is a significant part of the brand's continued expansion in Japan, aiming to leverage the increasing retail demand for Aston Martin. The growth is spurred by the local appetite for the brand's supercar of SUVs, the DBX707, and the excitement surrounding Aston Martin's next-generation sportscars, including the multi-award-winning DB12 and the new Vantage.
Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of Aston Martin, expressed his enthusiasm for the Tokyo market, stating, "Tokyo is one of the most important centres of luxury in the world. Having been the number one city location for new Aston Martin sales in 2023, we are delighted to double our retail presence with this stunning new landmark showroom in the five-star hotel, The Peninsula Tokyo."
Mattiacci highlighted the importance of the Tokyo market for Aston Martin's growth and reiterated the brand's commitment to providing the highest levels of customer experience in the luxury segment. He also mentioned the brand's strategy to expand its ultra-luxury retail and customer experience strategy with further flagship locations and landmark showrooms planned across the retail network.
Building on the success of Q New York, the Aston Martin Ginza introduces the pinnacle of the Q by Aston Martin bespoke service to Japan. This service allows clients in Tokyo to create their own intimately personal Aston Martin, capitalising on the growing trend of personalisation across the luxury segment. In 2023, Q by Aston Martin witnessed a 36% global growth year-on-year, driven by the introduction of exclusive limited-edition products like the iconic DBR22, the awe-inspiring DBS770 Ultimate, and the extraordinary Aston Martin Valkyrie and Valour.
Ginza, known for being one of Tokyo's most popular commercial districts and home to many flagship stores of luxury brands, offers a rich historical backdrop and is comprised of many successful multi-generational businesses, including the world-famous Kabuki Theatre.
Ken Arai, Company President of GRAZ Automotive Holdings, which operates Aston Martin Ginza, expressed optimism about the potential for Aston Martin to build on its loyal customer base in Japan, citing the introduction of market-leading products as a key factor.
The Peninsula Tokyo, renowned for its prestigious location facing the Imperial Palace and Hibiya Park and for receiving the highest five-star rating from the Forbes Travel Guide for nine consecutive years, now welcomes Aston Martin to its fold.
