Empowering The Next Generation: AIA Singapore's New Corporate-Led Internship Programme

AIA Singapore has officially unveiled its inaugural internship programme for 2024, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind spearheaded by the company's corporate division. This six-week initiative is designed to provide students from various higher education institutions with a comprehensive and immersive experience in the financial services sector. The programme aims to equip interns with valuable insights and practical skills by offering a unique combination of distribution and corporate exposure.

Participants in the AIA Internship 2024 will benefit from a series of structured experiences and learning opportunities. Key aspects of the programme include gaining deep industry insights through interactions with seasoned professionals, which will offer a thorough understanding of the life insurance landscape and AIA Singapore's leading role within it. Additionally, interns will have the chance to engage in a dual-track experience, observing and learning from financial services directors and managers to gain insights into financial planning.

The internship also focuses on skill development and certification, allowing participants to earn recognised certifications, including CMFAS licenses. This will enhance their financial literacy and personal development skills. Furthermore, mentorship and networking opportunities will be abundant, as interns receive guidance from dedicated professionals and connect with peers, directors, managers from distribution, and AIA executives through various events such as fireside chats.

Mr Alvin Fu, Chief Distribution Officer of AIA Singapore, highlighted the programme's alignment with the aspirations of young Singaporeans seeking meaningful careers that offer both purpose and flexibility. The programme not only offers a monthly internship allowance but also rewards top performers with recognition and a letter of recommendation from AIA.
