The company not only secured the top market share position but also saw its Hong Kong & Macau business become the most significant contributor to the AIA Group's Value of New Business (VONB), showcasing an impressive growth trajectory in various business metrics.

AIA Hong Kong & Macau's business achievements are particularly noteworthy, with an 82% increase in VONB and a 123% rise in Annualised New Premiums (ANP). These figures underscore the company's dominant position in the market and its ability to significantly impact AIA Group's overall performance. The detailed statistics reveal a comprehensive growth across different channels, including a notable increase in agency VONB, supported by an uptick in active agents, new recruits, and a strategic focus on Premier Agency strategy.

The resurgence of travel in February 2023, particularly from Mainland Chinese visitors (MCV), played a pivotal role in this success. AIA Hong Kong & Macau adeptly capitalized on the robust demand within this segment, contributing to approximately half of its VONB for the year. The company's efforts to expand its team of active financial planners and strengthen partnerships have been instrumental in harnessing the potential of the MCV market.
