Acura Clinches Historic Victory At Sebring 12 Hours With Stellar Team Performance
In a remarkable display of skill and strategy, Louis Delétraz, Jordan Taylor, and Colton Herta clinched the first overall win for Acura at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The trio, piloting the #40 Acura ARX-06 prototype, started from the third position and led for a mere 18 laps. However, a decisive pass through GT traffic with just four laps to go secured their victory. Delétraz also clocked the fastest lap time in the IMSA GTP class, showcasing the team's competitive edge.
This victory places Acura in a three-way tie for the IMSA GTP Manufacturers' Championship and positions the drivers of the #40 car at the top of the drivers' title chase. The sister #10 Acura ARX-06, manned by Ricky Taylor, Filipe Albuquerque, and Brendon Hartley, also showed strong performance by leading for 55 laps. Despite a setback that caused them to lose a lap in the pitlane, they finished fifth.

Meanwhile, in the GTD class, the #66 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo 22 faced challenges after an incident in the ninth hour of the race. Drivers Tatiana Calderon, Katherine Legge, and Sheena Monk were forced to retire due to significant damage from a collision, finishing 17th in their class.
Following two rounds of intense competition, Delétraz, Taylor, and Herta are leading the Drivers' Championship. Concurrently, Acura shares the top spot in the Manufacturers' Championship. Louis Delétraz expressed his elation over their win, attributing it to excellent teamwork, flawless pit stops, and superior car performance. Colton Herta commended Delétraz for his pivotal maneuvers during the race, while Jordan Taylor lauded his exceptional driving skills.
