80 Acres Farms Expands Offerings With Two New Salad Kits
80 Acres Farms, an innovative vertical farming company headquartered in Hamilton, Ohio, has recently expanded its product line with the introduction of two new salad kits, Hail, Caesar! and Zing N’ Zen. These additions mark a significant step in the company's commitment to providing clean, pesticide-free, and premium salad options to consumers. Launched in around 200 Kroger stores located in Cincinnati and Columbus at the beginning of this month, these kits are set to be distributed across the eastern United States this summer, joining the company's existing range of grab-and-go meals.
Hail, Caesar! offers a fresh take on the classic Caesar salad, incorporating romaine lettuce, shaved parmesan cheese, herbed croutons, and Mother Raw® brand roasted garlic Caesar dressing. It also features chickpeas and hearts of palm for an extra boost of flavor and protein. On the other hand, Zing N’ Zen introduces the company's first vegan salad kit option. It combines crisp green lettuce with cashews, sesame sticks, gingered carrots, marinated cabbage, and is topped with Mother Raw® brand sesame ginger dressing for a unique taste experience.

Grant Rice, Vice President of Sales at 80 Acres Farms, highlighted the growing consumer demand for healthy, portable meal options that cater to busy lifestyles. "Since we introduced salad kits last year, retailers have been expanding the category," he stated. The introduction of a cleaned-up Caesar and a vegan option is a direct response to this demand, aiming to reach a broader audience.
The company's initial launch of three grab-and-go meals in September 2023 received an overwhelmingly positive response from consumers. This success is attributed to the products' pesticide-free ingredients and commitment to "no artificial anything," leading to rapid expansion into over 1,000 retail locations. Furthermore, 80 Acres Farms announced last week its acquisition of the Mother Raw® premium salad dressing brand. This strategic move is expected to enhance efficiency and support further product development and store expansion efforts.
