Zayed Higher Organisation Advocates For Global Fraternity And Peace On World Braille Day
Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination celebrated World Braille Day by promoting global unity and peace. This initiative, influenced by the Document on Human Fraternity, seeks to address growing global challenges of division and hatred. It advocates for increased unity, tolerance, and coexistence among people worldwide.
The organisation collaborated with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation to print the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille. This effort aims to make it accessible to visually impaired individuals globally. The initiative highlights inclusivity and reflects ongoing efforts to promote tolerance and peace.

A video message featuring readings from the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille was shared in Arabic and English. This emphasised that the organisation's role goes beyond providing traditional services to People of Determination. It aims to empower them as active partners in society, advocating for peace and tolerance.
The organisation explained that this initiative is part of a larger mission to empower People of Determination. By printing the document in Braille, they aim to enhance cultural and social communication with visually impaired individuals everywhere, recognising their crucial role in fostering positive change.
This initiative coincides with World Braille Day, celebrated annually on 4th January. It underscores the importance of facilitating knowledge and culture for the visually impaired. Zayed Higher Organisation believes that Braille serves as a communication bridge, enabling People of Determination to connect with universal values.
In collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, awareness about the Document on Human Fraternity was raised among People of Determination. The document was also converted into Arabic Sign Language videos for the deaf with help from the Emirates Deaf Association.
Spreading Messages of Tolerance
The organisation's visually impaired employees translated the document into Braille in Arabic and English, printing 100 copies. This ensures that messages of tolerance, cooperation, and coexistence reach all segments of society. Additionally, they translated it into Italian for global accessibility.
One hundred Braille-printed copies were gifted to Al-Azhar Library in Egypt to spread messages beyond UAE borders. In collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, 100 Italian copies were printed for visually impaired individuals at Vatican Library in Rome.
Symbolising Unity
On another occasion, members from various nationalities within Zayed Higher Organisation created a garden bearing the emblem of Human Fraternity at its headquarters in Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi. This initiative symbolises solidarity and unity among people worldwide on UAE soil.
