Youth MMA Championship 9 Concludes In Dubai With Over 100 Young Athletes Competing
The Youth MMA Championship 9 wrapped up at Al Nasr Club in Dubai, offering a thrilling day for fight enthusiasts. Young athletes aged 12 to 17 from top clubs and academies across the UAE displayed their skills in intense matches. This event marked the final competition in the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s 2024 calendar.
Over 100 male and female competitors participated, spanning various age and weight categories. The championship underscored the rapid expansion of MMA in the UAE, with exciting bouts and standout performances throughout the day. Mohammed Bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, a board member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, lauded the event's organisation and record participation.

Al Dhaheri stated, "The success of this championship underscores the UAE’s commitment to developing MMA as a sport and providing platforms for young athletes to shine. We are grateful to our wise leadership for their unwavering support of sports development, which enables us to achieve these milestones." He also acknowledged Al Nasr Club and local partners for their contributions to hosting and supporting the event.
"Collaborations like these are essential in elevating the UAE’s position as a global hub for MMA," Al Dhaheri added. The championship not only highlighted individual talent but also demonstrated effective teamwork among organisers and participants, reinforcing the UAE's status as a key player in international MMA circles.
Carl Booth, coach at ADMA Academy, shared insights on the significance of such events. "With 45 of our athletes competing, this championship provided invaluable experience for our team. It allowed players to test their skills, learn from challenging matches, and grow as competitors. Such events are crucial for building the next generation of fighters, and we look forward to more opportunities like this."
