World Police Summit 2025 Attracts Over 53,000 Participants From More Than 110 Countries

The World Police Summit, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, saw a remarkable turnout this year. Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 13th to 15th May, the event attracted 53,922 participants from over 110 countries, marking a significant increase of more than 300% compared to last year.

Organised by Dubai Police in collaboration with DXB LIVE, the summit was one of the largest gatherings of law enforcement leaders globally. It featured participation from six Ministers of Interior, four Deputy Ministers, 45 Police Chiefs, and 41 Deputy Police Chiefs. Additionally, 692 ambassadors, consuls, and senior diplomats attended.

World Police Summit Draws Over 53,000 Attendees

The summit included 140 sessions covering 12 key themes such as anti-money laundering and AI in policing. Other topics discussed were digital fraud, aviation security, and community policing. A total of 302 speakers and 922 experts contributed to these discussions, reinforcing Dubai's role as a hub for global security cooperation.

Lt. Col. Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri stated that the summit exceeded expectations in both turnout and impact. "This year’s turnout and impact have far exceeded expectations. The summit has become a vital platform for international police cooperation and innovation," he said.

The event facilitated the signing of 38 memoranda of understanding among police forces, tech firms, and academic institutions. More than 900 individuals competed in the World Police Summit Awards, with 12 winners recognised on the final day.

Khalid Al Hammadi expressed pride in supporting this significant event: "We are proud to support this globally significant event. Its growing success reflects Dubai’s leadership in hosting world-class international summits."

Technological Advancements

Leading technology companies showcased innovative solutions at the summit. Presight presented AI-driven analytics for data-informed policing while Zenith Technologies highlighted their collaboration with Dubai Police on smart traffic systems. Federal Signal Corporation introduced advanced vehicle lighting systems aimed at enhancing operational safety.

Key partners included INTERPOL, EUROPOL, UNODC, WHO and NYU Abu Dhabi which hosted an academic symposium. Flagship side events like "Pearls in Policing" focused on empowering women in security and preparing future leaders.

Since its inception in 2022, the World Police Summit has evolved into a major platform for shaping policing's future. It reaffirms Dubai’s position as a centre for excellence in security innovation and global engagement.
