Umm Al Emarat Park Attracts 400,000 Visitors In Record-Breaking Community Season
Umm Al Emarat Park recently wrapped up a successful season, welcoming 400,000 visitors from over 90 countries between October 2024 and April 2025. The UAE's Year of Community inspired the Park to focus on unity and inclusivity, fostering community engagement, cultural appreciation, and collective wellbeing. This season was marked by diverse programmes that enriched visitors' experiences through relaxation, connection, and educational opportunities.
The Park hosted numerous events and activities that encouraged exploration and learning. Children enjoyed nature-inspired play areas and interactive installations, while families participated in cultural events and wellness sessions. These experiences left lasting memories for all attendees. Educational initiatives included workshops and guided tours focused on conservation and environmental awareness, often in collaboration with sustainability-focused organisations.

"As we conclude another exciting season at the Park, we want to thank our visitors, staff, partners and community for their continued support and enthusiasm. This season’s mission to bring people together, encourage cultural exchange and promote sustainable living truly came to life."
The Park organised 59 community events alongside delivering 50 educational packages to over 3,300 students. The Park Market returned for its fourth year with 164 vendors offering artisan goods. It attracted families with over 7,000 giveaways and 510 child-focused activities—a 59% increase from the previous year. Live performances and fitness activities made it a top weekend destination.
Collaborations played a significant role in enhancing the Park's impact this season. The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) brought back the Festival in the Park with over 4,000 attendees. The Early Childhood Fair partnered with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority welcomed 28,000 visitors for learning opportunities.
During Ramadan, Emirates Red Crescent collaborated with the Park to distribute iftar boxes to 1,500 people. A special iftar was organised for 180 orphans at Ramadan Garden. An Autism Awareness event hosted with the American Center engaged over 150 participants in fostering understanding.
Sustainability Initiatives
The Park embraced sustainability through various initiatives aligned with UAE Environment Vision 2030. Six workshops educated visitors on conservation efforts while partnerships with Tadweer Group facilitated recycling through Reverse Vending Machines collecting aluminum cans and plastic bottles.
A collaboration with A1R to Water led to installing five atmospheric water generation machines producing over 11,000 litres of water—preventing use of single-use plastic bottles. Earth Day saw gardening workshops engaging more than 50 participants in conservation awareness activities.
Cultural Celebrations
The 'Gardens of Tolerance' was inaugurated this season celebrating cultural diversity through events representing Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Ukrainian cultures featuring music and traditional activities promoting cross-cultural engagement.
Over 3,000 attendees experienced an open-air communal iftar under stars during Ramadan accompanied by oud performances. The Iftar Cannon ceremony at the main entrance symbolised communal gatherings promoting unity during Ramadan.
The Park also held Emirati workshops led by seniors preserving UAE's rich cultural heritage through falconry shows performed multiple times deepening cultural appreciation among visitors.
Artistic Endeavours
This season supported artistic expression through collaborations like hosting Kabir Mohanty's installation at Shade House as part of Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennale inviting reflection on space interaction naturally.
The Datecrete Bee Hotel crafted from eco-friendly materials won Christo & Jeanne-Claude Award encouraging ecological awareness attracting solitary bees enhancing creative expression commitment furthered by ADMAF partnership.
Prestigious brand collaborations including Tiffany & Co., Roger Vivier cemented Umm Al Emarat Park's position as a premium destination for brand expression engaging diverse audiences meaningfully within vibrant nature-filled spaces.
