UAE Youth Participate In Cultural Exchange Programme To Learn About Moroccan Culture
A group of young individuals from the UAE is set to participate in a cultural exchange programme in Morocco from 3rd to 13th April 2025. This initiative, organised by Sharjah Youth and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, aims to nurture future leaders and innovators. The participants, aged between 13 and 18, will explore diverse cultures during their stay.
The programme follows an earlier phase where Moroccan youth visited Sharjah. Its primary aim is to foster connections between young people from both nations, enhancing their understanding of each other's cultures. By engaging in shared experiences and learning in a welcoming environment, the initiative seeks to broaden their perspectives.

During their visit, the group will explore various Moroccan regions such as Tangier, Tetouan, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and Asilah. They will tour youth centres and cultural sites while discovering community projects aimed at empowering young people. Initiatives like "Even I Am Cayna," "Walad El Houma," and "Shababi Ra'smali" are part of this enriching experience.
These visits offer insights into Morocco’s vibrant culture and history. Participants will hear inspiring stories about community work and the empowerment of youth and women. Such experiences are designed to inspire them with new ideas and perspectives.
Abdul Hamid Al Yasi, leading the group, expressed his pride in the participants' achievements so far. He stated: "We are proud of our children taking part in this journey. This amazing experience allows them to learn about inspiring young people in Morocco and discover new cultures. It helps them become more aware of important social issues that affect young people everywhere."
The programme also focuses on developing leadership skills among participants. By engaging with different cultures and communities, they gain a sense of responsibility towards their own communities. This journey encourages them to lead initiatives that can benefit those around them.
This cultural exchange not only strengthens ties between UAE and Moroccan youth but also equips them with valuable skills for the future. The knowledge gained through this programme is expected to shape their ability to lead effectively in various contexts.
